A Priori is named in honour of the foundation professor of philosophy at the University of Canterbury, Arthur Prior, and exists to make available the Erskine Lectures of the distinguished Erskine Fellows invited annually to the Department of Philosophy at that University.
Authors contributing Lectures to A Priori retain copyright to their work. The authors retain all rights not expressly granted to A Priori and the Editor, including the right to publish their lectures in other media. No part of A Priori (excluding individual contributions and works derived solely from those contributions, for which rights are reserved by the individual authors) may be reprinted, reproduced, stored, or utilised in any form, by any electronic, mechanical, or other means, now known or hereafter invented, including printing, photocopying, saving (on disk), broadcasting or recording, or in any information storage or retrieval system, without permission from the Editor.
The Editor of A Priori disclaims any and all responsibility for copyright violations and any other form of liability arising from the content of A Priori or from any material linked to A Priori. Both contributing authors and the Editor will be pleased to have any discovered copyright violations brought to the attention of the authors, with copies of this notification being sent to the Editor, so that such issues may be dealt with promptly.
